位于大涅槃寺内、相传是五世纪时所作的雕像，由整块黑岩所雕成的。右胁侧卧的佛陀，身长6.1公尺，复盖着金黄色绸布，平稳安详地躺卧在眼前，世界各地的佛子，均前来礼拜圣者，祈求佛陀的法身常在，引领着大眾永不迷失，世世常行菩萨道。
This Buddha image situated inside 'Maha-Parinivana Temple', was carved out from a block of black stone during the 5th century. The Buddha, resting peacefully on his right, is 6.1 metres long and covered with a golden silk cloth. Buddhists from different parts of the world will come to pay their respect and pray that Buddha's Dharma teaching will always prevail, leading every sentient beings out from their delusion forever, always practicing the way of a Bodhisattva.
