桑耶精舍

2004到2010年間，我們前往印度進行朝聖之旅，拜訪了佛陀的家鄉，弘法及入滅聖地。 

佛陀曾說：『一生應當朝禮聖地四處，以此功德，不墮惡道，得生天上。』

此部短片為您介紹佛陀弘法、及大般涅槃的四處聖地。

『迦毗羅衛城』爲古代釋迦族的國都，也是釋迦牟尼的家鄉。當時住在皇宮的悉達多太子，因為『四門出遊』，決定出家修行，尋求解脫生老病死之道。

『舍衛城』爲古代拘薩羅國都城。當時國王波斯匿王為佛陀的弟子。由給孤獨長者與祇陀太子所供養的祇園精舍，是著名的佛教僧院，佛陀在此進行了24次結夏安居。因此『舍衛城』是佛陀最長住的地方，也是傳授最多教戒教授的地方。

『毗舍離』，佛陀在世時為車離族的城邦的都城。佛陀在此城預言自己即將於三個月後入滅。

『拘尸那羅』，佛陀在世爲末羅國著名的都市。佛陀在此入滅進入涅槃，是重要的佛教勝地。火化後的舍利子被分為八份，並建塔安置供養。

This short film introduces four Buddha's sacred places.

Kapilavastu, the capital of the Shakya nation, was the Buddha’s native place. When prince Siddhattha Gotamand lived in palace, he witnessed four pains (birth, aging, sickness, and death) in field trips, so he decided to become a monk to seek solutions.

Sravasti was the capital of Kosala ruled by King Pasenadi, a disciple of Buddha. Jetavana Vihara of Sravasti, donated by Anathapindika and Jetakumara, was a famous Buddhist monastery. Jetavana Vihara of Sravasti was the place where Buddha spent most time of his life (24 rainy seasons) and gave many discourses and instructions.

Vaishali, the capital of the Licchavi, was the place Buddha foretold his death in three months.

Kushinagar, the celebrated city of Mallas at the time of Buddha, was the place where Buddha entered Parinirvana. His body was cremated, and the relics were divided into eight portions for people to enshrine.
